About · La Mirada, California
Twenty years,
one tradeat a time.
Lim Construction Services is a licensed general building contractor based in La Mirada, working across Los Angeles County and north Orange County. We are small on purpose: the person who quotes your job is on site while it is being built.
How the business ended up this way
[[HIS STORY, IN HIS OWN WORDS. Get this on a phone call, not a form — twenty minutes and a recorder. The specific things to ask: what trade he started in, what made him get the general building licence instead of staying in one trade, and the job that convinced him the finish work mattered as much as the repair. This is the single most valuable paragraph on the site and it cannot be written for him.]]
Why a general building contractor
Most of what goes wrong in a house is not one trade’s problem. A leak under the slab is pipe work and concrete. A repipe is pipe, drywall, texture and paint. A failed sewer line is excavation, pipe and a driveway that has to go back over the top.
Hire a single trade and you get a finished repair and an unfinished house — plus the job of finding, scheduling and coordinating everyone who comes after. A CSLB Class B licence covers projects involving more than one trade, which is why we hold the whole scope instead of a slice of it. One contract, one crew, one company answering for the result.
What we self-perform
- Supply and drain line replacement as part of a larger project
- Concrete: slabs, driveways, walkways, forms, grading and drainage
- Framing and structural repairs
- Drywall, tape, texture and paint
- Tile, flooring and finish carpentry
- Roofing repairs
Doing this work in-house is the reason we can hold a schedule. There is no waiting on a subcontractor who has three other jobs, because the crew that opened the wall is the crew that closes it.

English and Korean
Estimates, scope walk-throughs and day-to-day questions can be handled in either language. For a lot of our clients that is the difference between nodding along at a walk-through and actually understanding what they are agreeing to.

[[Crew size and how long they have worked together. If several have been with him for years, that is worth saying plainly — continuity is rare in this trade and homeowners recognise it.]]
Backed for five years
If our workmanship fails,
we come back and fix it.
Five years of workmanship warranty on the work and on the finish that closes it. Same company, same phone number, same crew. Terms are written into your contract before you sign anything, so the promise is a document rather than a sales line.
